Reigning champion Bashundhara Kings have signed Bangladesh-origin Finland right-back Tariq Kazi to bolster their defence for the upcoming season
Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra have confirmed the signing of Australian defensive midfielder Christopher Herd.
The 30-year old former Aston Villa man is due to arrive in Dhaka at the end of the month.
Herd, who appeared for Australian national team three times, played in the English Premier League for Villa, Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic from 2010 to 2015.
He played for Buriram United in the Thai league in 2018 and Chennayin FC in the Indian Super League last season.
Sheikh Russel, who finished third in the premier league last season, also retained the services of Nigerian defender Alison Udoka and top-scorer from the previous season, Raphael Odoyin.

Meanwhile, reigning champion Bashundhara Kings have also signed Bangladesh-origin Finland right-back Tariq Kazi to bolster their defence for the upcoming season.
The club’s president Imrul Hasan informed that they are waiting to get Bangladeshi passport of Kazi so that they can play him as a local recruit.
The 19-year old Kazi’s father is Bangladeshi while his mother is Finnish.
Kazi moved to the senior team of FC Ilves two years ago from the same club’s youth team.
He appeared for 14 minutes during his lone appearance in the Europa League this year.
