The other two matches ended in draw
Despite two days being washed out, Chittagong won their third round match of the National Cricket League against Sylhet, while Rajshahi beat Rangpur in a cliffhanger by six runs, defending 117 runs successfully.
The other two matches however, ended in draw.
Chittagong v Sylhet
Chittagong declared on 229/9 resuming on 191/6 before their left-arm seamer Mehedi Hasan Rana picked up five wickets to bundle the opponent out for just 109 and give an easy target of 44.
The port city outfit reached the target in just 6.4 overs, losing one wicket to record an emphatic victory at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi.
Rajshahi v Rangpur
Rangpur looked to win the match as Rajshahi resumed on 129/6, with a mere lead of 56, but all-rounder Sanjamul Islam changed the situation upside down.
Sanjamul played an important innings of 36 batting at No 8 for Rajshahi to give Rangpur a target of 118 and made enough with another left-arm spinner Saqlain Sajib, as both of them picked five wickets each to skittle Rangpur out for just 111.
Sanjamul, who picked up three wickets in the first innings, was adjudged player of the match at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium Academy Ground in the coastal city.
Khulna v Dhaka
Anamul Haque enjoyed a brilliant match for Khulna at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox's Bazar, as he scored an unbeaten 151 in the second innings, following his 126 in the first innings.
Khulna declared on 301/3 and gave a target of 357 runs.
Off-spinner Mahedi Hasan, who grabbed four wickets in the first innings, almost snatched the game for Khulna as he got five wickets but Dhaka survived as they ended on 119/7 when the match was called off.
Barisal v Dhaka Metropolis
The match at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra finally started on the fourth and final day and Mohammad Ashraful utilized the opportunity to the fullest as he scored an unbeaten 150 to help Barisal declare on 312/5 before Dhaka Metros ended the match on 34 without loss.
