One of the player of the match awardees, Nayeem Hasan almost snatched victory for Chittagong by picking up four wickets but Barisal survived as they ended the fourth and final day on 174/7 while chasing 336 in the tournament's 21st edition

The tier-two National Cricket League second-round match between Chittagong and Barisal concluded in a thrilling draw at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.

One of the player of the match awardees, Nayeem Hasan almost snatched victory for Chittagong by picking up four wickets but Barisal survived as they ended the fourth and final day on 174/7 while chasing 336 in the tournament's 21st edition.

Chittagong, who resumed the day on 50/1 in their second innings, declared for 196 after a half century from Pinak Ghosh and 43 from Mahidul Islam Ankon, another player of the match awardee, who scored 91 in the first innings.

Earlier in the game, Chittagong scored 356 in the first innings after being invited to take first guard and Barisal posted 216 in reply.

The third round matches will start from Thursday.
