Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Navy won their respective matches as the Super League of the Walton Refrigerator 16th Premier Division Kabaddi League got underway in Dhaka Monday.
In the first match of the day, Army defeated Bangladesh Air Force 44-37 while in the second game, Navy beat Border Guard Bangladesh 38-37.
A total of 15 teams participated in the first round of the tournament last month, from where eight sides progressed to the Super League.
Besides the four teams on the opening day, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Jail, Azad Sporting Club and Dhaka Wanderers Club are also taking part in the competition.
A total of 28 Super League games will be held till Sunday following which the table-topper will be crowned the champion.
None of the national players are participating in the tournament as they are currently busy with the preparation camp for the South Asian Games.
