Bangladesh A - Sri Lanka A match ends in draw

Bangladesh off-spinner Mehedi Hasan Miraz picked up five wickets conceding 150 runs in 46.3 overs.

The first three-day match between visiting Bangladesh A team and hosts Sri Lanka A has been ended as a draw after third day’s play at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium, Hambantota on Tuesday.

Bangladesh off-spinner Mehedi Hasan Miraz picked up five wickets conceding 150 runs in 46.3 overs.

Sri Lanka were all out for 450 as opener Sangeeth Cooray scored 104 while number three batsman Kamindu Mendis scored 169.

Apart from Miraz, part time spinner Mohammad Mithun picked up two wickets while Ebadat Hossain and   Mehedi Hasan Rana took one a piece.

Bangladesh came to bat in the second innings but just after an over, the match ended with a draw.

Earlier, Bangladesh A scored 360 runs in their first innings. Openers Jahurul Islam Omi and Shadman Islam gave their team a good platform to score big as right hander Johurul scored 92 and left handed Shadman scored 53.

Middle order batsman Mohamamd Mithun played a good innings but he also missed a century like Jahurul as the former got out after scoring 92.

Miraz showed good composure with the bat as well as he scored 57.
