Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman Liton Das made a run-a-ball 21 as his Caribbean Premier League T20 side Jamaica Tallawahs lost by four wickets against Saint Lucia Zouks in Gros Islet Friday night.

Liton struck only one boundary as Jamaica, asked to bat first, posted 165 losing seven wickets in their stipulated 20 overs.

In reply, St Lucia reached their destination with five balls to spare.

Liton didn’t get to keep wickets and took one catch, that of New Zealand’s Colin de Grandhomme off the bowling of leg-spinner Imran Khan.

Liton’s Jamaica are still at the bottom of the six-team points table with four points from nine matches, ahead of their last round robin clash against Guyana Amazon Warriors Friday in Providence.

Meanwhile, Shakib al Hasan’s Barbados Tridents, who are second from bottom with six points from seven games, face off against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots Sunday in Bridgetown.

While Jamaica are out of the running for a playoff berth, Barbados are very much in contention.
