Bangabandhu, Bangamata U-17 Gold Cup ends in Tangail

In the boys’ category, Nagorpur’s goalkeeper Apu Khandaker became the player of the tournament; while Tangail Sadar’s Rukhsana Khatun emerged as the best player and Eti Akter became the highest goalscorer in the girls’ event

Tangail Sadar Upazila defeated Ghatail Upazila 5-0 in the final of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman National Gold Cup U-17 boys’ football tournament at Tangail Stadium Sunday. 

Meanwhile in the girls’ event, Gopalpur Upazila defeated Nagorpur Upazila in the final to become the champion of the Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnisa Mujib National Gold Cup U-17 girls’ football tournament at the same venue.
