Bangladesh's Mushfiqur Rahim walks back to the dressing room during their sixth T20I against Afghanistan in Chittagong Saturday Dhaka Tribune/Md Manik

It was a golden chance missed by Mushfiqur Rahim to score big and get more confidence before the final

Middle-order batsman Mushfiqur Rahim is not on song in the ongoing series as the experienced right-handed batsman scored 32, five and nought in his last three innings.

Although he scored an important 32 in the last game against Zimbabwe at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium Wednesday, the innings was not fluent for Mushfiq who is considered one of the best batsmen of Bangladesh.

Mushfiq once again formed a crucial partnership with Shakib al Hasan at the middle against Afghanistan at the ZACS Saturday when Bangladesh lost two early wickets, and made 26 off 25.

He survived in the 10th over while trying to clear the boundary over deep mid wicket against Mohammed Nabi.

But the Afghan fielder put down a sitter and Mushfiq survived.

However, in the next over against Karim Janat, Mushfiq again tried to clear the boundary over the same region but this time got caught comfortably by Shafiqullah Shafaq.

So a golden chance missed by Mushfiq to score big and get more confidence before the final.
