Mohammad Ruman Shana, representing Bangladesh Ansar, finished top in the qualification round of the men’s recurve individual event where BKSP’s Hakim Ahmed Rubel and Mohammad Tamimul Islam placed second and third with 659 and 647 respectively

Mohammad Ruman Shana continued his fine form on home soil as the country’s archery sensation pulled up a record qualification round score with 685 during the inaugural day of the Modhumoti Bank Bangladesh Cup Archery, Stage 3 at Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master Stadium in Tongi, Gazipur Thursday.

Ruman, representing Bangladesh Ansar, finished top in the qualification round of the men’s recurve individual event where BKSP’s Hakim Ahmed Rubel and Mohammad Tamimul Islam placed second and third with 659 and 647 respectively.

“This is my highest score in the qualification round of any event both at home and abroad. The score shows my improvement. If I keep up the consistency and score similar like this I can finish among top five in any international event, even the Olympics,” said Ruman.

Among the other qualification round at abroad this year, the 10th-ranked archer in the world scored 681 in Asia Cup Stage 1 in Thailand in March, 676 in World Championship in the Netherlands in June, 662 in Olympic Test Event in Japan in July and 671 in Asia Cup Stage 3 in Philippines this month.
