Mohammad Ruman Shana will fight for gold Friday after beating China’s Ta La by 6-4 sets in the semi-final Wednesday

Top Bangladesh archer Mohammad Ruman Shana set up a gold medal match with China’s Shi Zhenqi in the recurve event of the World Ranking Competition Stage 3 in the Philippines.

Shana will fight for gold Friday after beating China’s Ta La by 6-4 sets in the semi-final Wednesday.

The 24-year old earlier in the day defeated Chinese Taipei’s Yang Huie-Jhe 7-1 in the quarter-final, Thailand’s Thepna Denchai 6-0 in the third round and Myanmar’s Thiha Htet Zaw in the second round.

Other Bangladesh archers Hakim Ahmed Rubel and Tamimul Islam exited the tournament in the second and third round respectively while in the women’s recurve event, Beauty Roy bowed out in the second round.
