Tigers off-spinner Nayeem Hasan celebrated his call-up to the national side for the lone Afghanistan Test match by taking seven wickets as Bangladesh Emerging Team drew the first of two four-dayers against their Sri Lankan counterparts in Khulna’s Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium Friday.
The teenager bagged seven wickets conceding 93 runs as the visiting side were all out for 244 in 103.4 overs, thus giving the home side a first-innings lead of 116 runs.
The Lankans had begun the fourth and final day’s play on 190 for the loss of six wickets in 87 overs, before losing their remaining four wickets for the addition of 54 runs in 16.4 overs.
Ashen Bandara top-scored for the Lankans with 85 off 256 balls.
In their second innings, Bangladesh Emerging Team posted 102 losing four wickets in 43 overs before the umpires signaled the end of the game.

Opener Saif Hasan was not out on 40 while captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto and youngster Zakir Hasan chipped in with 25 each.
Earlier, the home side made 360 in 135.4 overs in their first innings, Shanto scoring the highest 133 off 269 deliveries.
Ramesh Mendis notched four wickets for the visitor.
The second and final four-dayer will begin Tuesday at Sheikh Kamal International Stadium in Cox’s Bazar.
The Lankans had earlier won the three-match one-day series 2-1.
