Mushfiq crosses 6,000 ODI runs

Mushfiqur Rahim completed 6,000 ODI runs Sunday and later went on to score his 37th half-century. 

On a slow and sticky wicket, Mushfiq fought a lone battle to take Bangladesh to a competitive total. 

Bangladesh’s top order collapsed and they were 117/6 at one stage.

Middle-order also failed to absorb the pressure as Mahmudullah and Mosaddek Hossain gave their wickets away cheaply. 

However, experienced campaigner Mushfiq took responsibility and made an 84-run partnership with Mehedi Hasan Miraz to take the Tigers past 200.

In the end, Mushfiq’s valiant knock ended at the non-strikers’ end.
