Team BJMC kept their slightest hope alive to avoid the potential relegation after registering only their second win in the Bangladesh Premier League this season after the 10-man side edged Arambagh Krira Sangha 1-0 at Shaheed Bulu Stadium in Noakhali Wednesday.

Uzbekistan midfielder Mohamed Otabek netted the all-important goal of the game in the 56th minute before they were reduced to 10 men in the 91st minute when Nigerian forward Eleta Kingsley received his second yellow card.

It was BJMC’s second win after losing their previous five matches and they still remained at the bottom of the table with only 11 points from 22 matches, five points behind 12th-placed Nofel Sporting Club with both the sides having two matches left.

Arambagh remained at fifth with 30 points from 23 games.
