Bangladesh A cricket team kept alive their hope of clinching the five-match unofficial ODI series as they beat Afghanistan A by seven wickets in the third game at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong Wednesday.

The visiting side now lead 2-1, having won the first two matches, and will play the home side in the fourth and penultimate game at BKSP in Savar Saturday.

Asked to bat first, Bangladesh A bowlers were in rampaging mood as they skittled the opposition out for 122 in 32.4 overs, national seamer Abu Jayed leading the way with four wickets.

Spinner Mahedi Hasan took three scalps while pacer Abu Haider and spinner Nazmul Islam bagged one apiece.

In reply, the second string Bangladesh side romped home in 30.3 overs with middle-order batsman Fazle Mahmud unbeaten on 57.

Youngster Afif Hossain was not out on 21 while opener Imrul Kayes made 23.

Afghanistan A earlier claimed the two-match unofficial Test series 1-0.
