Mohammedan’s sixth win in the league this season took their points tally to 23 from 21 matches, including six losses and five draws, while Nofel have 16 points after their 13th defeat
After a disappointing start to the Bangladesh Premier League, Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited seem to have turned around the corner as they registered their second consecutive victory Friday at Bangabandhu National League in Dhaka, beating Nofel Sporting Club 3-1.
Mohammedan’s sixth win in the league this season took their points tally to 23 from 21 matches, including six losses and five draws, while Nofel have 16 points after their 13th defeat.
Nofel had won the first leg tie 1-0.
Suleymane Diabate gave the Black and the Whites the lead in just the ninth minute after the ball ricocheted back to him from the Nofel goalkeeper.
The fading Motijheel giant doubled their lead just four minutes later through Toklis Ahmed.

Toklis, who netted a brace against eternal rival and holder Abahani Limited in the last match, headed home from a Jahid Hasan Ameli free-kick.
Nofel reduced the arrears in the 17th minute through Ashraful Islam who chipped over the onrushing Mohammedan keeper.
Mohammedan, who beat Abahani 4-0 in the last game, extended their lead in the dying stages of the all-action first half through a Diabate spot-kick.
The Mali forward was earlier fouled inside the box.
Mohammedan got a golden opportunity to make it 4-1 in the 76th minute but Diabate’s shot missed the crossbar by a whisker.
