The final round of the BFF-Unicef U-16 National Women’s Championship 2019 is all set to kick off at Birshrestha Shaheed Sepahi Mustafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur Saturday with the participation of six zonal champions and two best runners-up from the preliminary round.
The eight teams were split into two groups during the draw after deciding their seeding based on the results in the respective zonal finals at six separate venues.
The tournament is also considered as a talent hunt program for BFF.

Mymensingh face Rangamati in the inaugural match Saturday.
The top two teams from each group will move to the semi-finals, scheduled to be held on July 26 while the final is slated for a day later.
A press conference regarding the tournament was held at BFF House Thursday where BFF women’s wing committee chairman Mahfuza Akter Kiron told reporters that they have found some talents from the preliminary round under the scouting of national women’s team head coach Golam Rabbani Choton and assistant coach Mahbubur Rahman Litu.
Kiron also said the best talents would be provided a two-month long training camp within one and a half months after the end of the tournament and the extraordinary talents will be called up to the national camp.
