Table-topper Bashundhara Kings continued their winning run in the Bangladesh Premier League as they beat Arambagh Krira Sangha 3-0 in Mymensingh’s Rafique Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium Friday.

Following their 18th win in the top-flight on their debut appearance, the Kings are still at the summit with 55 points from 19 matches, four ahead of second placed Abahani Limited, who have played a game more.

The Kings, who have now 12 in a row, had beaten Arambagh 3-2 in the first phase.

Fifth placed Arambagh have 26 points from 20 matches.

The game resumed from the eighth minute onwards after inclement weather forced the abandonment of the tie Thursday at the same venue.

The Kings scored all three goals in the second half as the first ended goalless.

Maruful Haque’s charges went behind in the 54th minute when Brazilian forward Marcos de Silva scored from the penalty spot after one of the Arambagh players handled the ball inside the box.

Costa Rica’s World Cup star Daniel Colindres doubled the lead in the 68th minute from a Bakhtiyar Duishobekov cross.

Colindres bagged his second, and the Kings’ third, when he found the back of the net in the 76th minute.
