Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra beat Lt. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited 2-1 in their Bangladesh Premier League match at Sylhet District Stadium Saturday.

The two sides had played out a goalless draw in the first phase.

Sheikh Russel, who claimed the 2012-13 title, went ahead in the 22nd minute through Biplu Ahmed.

Their joy however lasted just four minutes as Gambian forward Solomon King brought parity with a spot-kick.

Sheikh Russel though ensured all three points when Mohammad Khalekuzzaman found the back of the net from the left flank in the dying stages of the first half.
