Bangladesh team are scheduled to depart from the United Kingdom at 10:15pm UK time Saturday after completing their participation in the 2019 World Cup.

The Tigers are slated to arrive in Dhaka at 5:20pm Bangladesh standard time Sunday.

They departed from Bangladesh for Ireland on May 1 to take part in the tri-nation ODI series against host Ireland and the West Indies.

The whole squad, selected for the World Cup, were there for that series and Bangladesh eventually won the tournament after beating the Windies in the final.

From Ireland, Bangladesh flew to the United Kingdom for a six-day practice camp in Leicester and later went to Cardiff to start their World Cup campaign officially.

Now after almost two and a half months, players are returning home.

It was learnt that Shakib al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, Sabbir Rahman, Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Abu Jayed Rahi will not return with the team and stay back for personal reasons.

Bangladesh managed to win three matches in the tournament, against South Africa, the West Indies and Afghanistan and ended the tournament with a defeat to Pakistan.

The Tigers’ next ODI assignment is against Sri Lanka away, which is scheduled to be played in the last week of July.
