Shakib gets past 6,000 ODI runs

He reached the milestone of 250 ODI wickets in the first match against South Africa and has gotten past 300 runs in just four games

Bangladesh’s ace all-rounder Shakib al Hasan reached the 6,000-run landmark in his ODI career during their World Cup match against the West Indies in Taunton Monday. 

He achieved the milestone in his 201st ODI. 

The 32-year old all-rounder averages 36.66 in ODIs with eight tons and 45 fifties.

Shakib became the second Bangladeshi after Tamim Iqbal to go past 6,000 runs. 

Shakib has been enjoying a great World Cup so far. 

He reached the milestone of 250 ODI wickets in the first match against South Africa and has gotten past 300 runs in just four games. 

He has made 50-plus innings in all four appearances thus far in the tournament.
