Bangladesh’s ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan reached the milestone of 200 one-day International matches while playing against New Zealand during their second match of the 2019 ICC cricket World Cup at the Oval on Wednesday.
Shakib is the third Bangladeshi who has reached the milestone. Bangladesh captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza (208) and wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim (206) had already reached the mark.
Bangladesh went to bat first after New Zealand skipper Ken Williamson opted to field.
Shakib scored 64 off 68 deliveries with seven boundaries and get out in 31st over.
Shakib has scored 5856 reins with seven centuries and 44 half centuries so far including this match.
As a left-arm spinner he took 250 wickets prior to this match.
