In the men’s air rifle event, Narayanganj’s Risalatul Islam caused an upset when he won gold with a score of 246.1, ahead of Commonwealth Games silver medalist Abdullah Hel Baki.
Baki ended a disappointing fifth.

In the same event, Risalatul’s club mate Jesimuzzaman Himel and Dhaka Rifle Club’s Shovon Chowdhury bagged silver and bronze respectively.
In the junior category, Narayanganj’s Robiul Islam notched gold with a score of 243.8, while Army Shooting’s Sheikh Sabbir Ahmed and Kishoreganj Rifle Club’s Sakibul Al Al-Amin won silver and bronze accordingly.
