A total of 10 boys and as many girls from the final round will be given long-term training
The divisional qualifying round of the Walton 23rd National Junior Boys and 5th Girls Boxing Competition has come to an end with 218 young boxers getting the berths to showcase their talents.
The divisional qualifying round was held from February 9-26 in eight divisions.
From the eight divisions, 30 boxers each from Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Khulna and Mymensingh, 38 from Chittagong, 12 from Sylhet and 18 from Barisal went through to the final round that will be held at Muhammad Ali Boxing Stadium in Paltan this month.

The boys will contest in nine categories – 29kg, 32kg, 35.5kg, 38.5kg, 42kg, 45kg, 48kg, 51kg and 54kg.
The girls will fight in six categories – 36kg, 38.5kg, 42kg, 45kg, 48kg and 51kg.
