Meanwhile, Golden Sporting’s Tahsin Tajwar Zia, son of GM Ziaur Rahman, totaled two points after the third-round games in the junior category of the same tournament

Fide Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman of Saif Sporting Club earned maximum two points after the second-round games to share the lead in the points table along with 13 other players in the IIFL Wealth 4th Mumbai International Grandmaster Chess Tournament in Mumbai, India. 

GM Ziaur Rahman of Saif Sporting gathered 1.5 points, and is tied for second position with 26 other players. 

FM Mehdi Hasan Parag of Golden Sporting Club garnered one point while Nayem Haque of Mir Club earned 0.5 point. 

In the second round, Fahad beat Women’s International Master Varga Klara of Hungary, Ziaur drew with Balasubramaniam of India, Parag beat Krishna Thapa of Nepal, Nayem drew with VS Raahul of India, Candidate Master Subrota Biswas lost to Arya Nirag Shah of India, CM Sohel Chowdhury lost to WIM Mahalakshmi of India, Mohammad Abzid Rahman lost to Bhambure Shantanu of India, Sazzad Kishor lost to Phadke Sohan of India and Ali Ahsan Jewel lost to Ghelani Dhairya of India.

Meanwhile, Golden Sporting’s Tahsin Tajwar Zia, son of Ziaur, totaled two points after the third-round games in the junior category of the same tournament. 

Elegant International Academy’s Marzouq Chowdhury earned 1.5 points, Warsia Khusbu and Zaif Khandkar tallied one point each while Syed Ridwan totaled 0.5 point after the third-round games. 

In the third round, Tahsin lost to Dhanvij Ansh of India, Marzouq beat Desai Trissha of India, Zaif beat Karthik Vedanth of India, Khusbu lost to Abhyuday Santosh of India while Ridwan lost to Bangle Arnav of India.
