The quake was felt in Dinajpur around 9pm
A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck in Southeast Asia, 26 km southeast of Gangtok, India on Monday, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported.
The quake was felt at around 9:20pm in Dinajpur. It lasted for ten seconds.
Many rushed outside fearing their lives there. However, no casualties were reported.
It was also felt in Panchagarh on Monday night, report UNB.
Panicked people rushed out of their houses when the quake was felt between 9:19pm and 9:20pm.
Panchagarh Deputy Commissioner Sabina Yasmin said they were yet to receive any report of damage.
The quake reportedly affected Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Bhutan, and China.
