Singer Kumar Sanu tests positive for Covid-19

The 62-year-old iconic playback singer tested positive for the virus on October 16

The singer’s social media team confirmed the sad news today, on October 16. According to reports, Sanu was planning to visit his family to Los Angeles earlier this week.

His team wrote on Facebook, "Unfortunately, Sanu da has tested Corona positive, please pray for his good health. Thank you." 

The veteran singer’s fans and followers immediately took to the comments section and wished him a speedy recovery.

The singer has recently made news when his son Jaan participated in Bigg Boss 14.

Over the course of a three-decade career, Sanu made a name for himself by singing popular tracks like Dheere Dheere (Aashiqui), Meri Mehbooba (Pardes), Kitna Haseen Chehra (Dilwale) and Ek Ladki Ko Dekha (A Love Story).

In the '90s, the singer dominated the music industry, having reached a peak in his career.

A Padma Shri recipient, Kumar Sanu has famously collaborated with prominent music composers like Nadeem-Shravan, Jatin-Latit and Anu Malik, and sung in more than 30 languages.
