Scorpions will perform at Golden Jubilee Bangladesh Concert

The concert is being organized by the ICT Division of the Bangladesh government

German band Scorpions will perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City, in a bid to pay tribute to the 1971 George Harrison-led Concert for Bangladesh.

In celebration of Bangladesh’s 50 years of independence, the renowned band will take the stage on Friday, May 6. They will be accompanied by Bangladeshi band Chirkut.

The concert is being organized by the ICT Division in cooperation of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, the UNDP, the US Embassy in Bangladesh and several local sponsors.

“Tickets will go on sale on Monday, April 4 at 10 am. Scorpions Rock Zone fan club members will have an exclusive, first access to tickets available starting Thursday March 31 at 10 a.m,” reads a post on Scorpions’ official Facebook page.

Formed in 1965, Scorpions is hailed as one of the most critically successful and popular bands around the world, having sold over 100 million records to this day. Their notable hits include "Wind of Change,” "Rock You like a Hurricane," "Still Loving You” and others.
