Netflix drops special teaser for 'Stranger Things 4,' reveals episode titles

Netflix released a special teaser for the next season of fantasy series "Stranger Things" on Saturday, November 6, and unveiled a long-haired, lonesome Eleven penning letters to her beau Mike.

The teaser finds Eleven struggling to make friends in her new school and eagerly waiting for the spring break so that she can visit her old friends at Hawkins.

The streaming platform confirmed that the latest season will arrive in the summer of 2022.

The show-runners, Matt and Ross Duffer, have already confirmed that a few more seasons are in the pipeline and the brothers have some interesting ideas to work with that they have hit upon during the pandemic.

The last season of "Stranger Things" debuted three years ago. Despite high anticipation among fans, the pandemic derailed production for the latest season.

Netflix has also released the episode titles for Season 4, which are: “The Hellfire Club”, “Vecna’s Curse”, “The Monster and The Superhero”, “Dear Billy”, “The Nina Project”, “The Dive”, “The Massacre At Hawkins Lab”, “Papa”, and “The Piggyback."

“I mean, it’s bigger, that’s the first thing,” David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper, described the latest season to Collider. “In scope, in scale, even in the idea that we’re not in Hawkins anymore. We, locale-wise, we’re bigger. We’re introducing new stuff, but we’re also tightening and wrapping up in a certain direction to make it have a clear, clean specific, and definite ending at some point, which I can’t really talk about.”

The actor compared his story arc to that of Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

"We were always interested in that idea of the Gandalf resurrection — Gandalf the Grey who fights the Balrog and then becomes Gandalf the White. It’s the idea of the resurrection of the character. And mythologically, Hopper, in a sense, had to change. I mean, you couldn’t go on the way he was going on. He has to resurrect in some way."
