Update : 22 Oct 2021, 07:31 PM

Chorki is making good on its promise to release one original film every month. From director Raihan Rafi comes the streaming platform’s October release “Khachar Bhitor Ochin Pakhi,” which marks its fourth original film.

The film stars Fazlur Rahman Babu, Tama Mirza, Intekhab Dinar, Sumon Anowar and others in key roles.

The plot revolves around a politician, played by Fazlur Rahman Babu, who gets stuck in a factory fire with a working-class girl, played by Tama Mirza.

Filming took place in a Rangpur factory. Director Rafi said, “The hardest part of filming was finding the right location. We had to struggle a lot to find a closed factory, which would also offer decent accommodation for the film crew and cast.”

Bangladeshi streaming platform Chorki began its journey on July 12, 2021. The platform boasts a formidable arsenal of 200+ films, series and documentaries.

Chorki was launched with a view to making local content more accessible and immune to piracy, and giving more autonomy to both filmmakers and audience.

Apart from original content, Chorki also lets viewers access to the classic Bangla films and TV serials.

“Khachar Bhetor Ochin Pakhi” debuted on the streaming platform on Thursday, October 21. Watch the full trailer below:
