The first teaser for popular Indian-Bangali director Srijit Mukherji’s web series ‘Robindronath Ekhane Kawkhono Khete Aashenni,’ was unveiled on July 15.

The one minute and forty second teaser reveals Azmeri Haque Badhon as the mysterious restaurant owner Muskan Zuberi and Rahul Bose as Nirupam Chanda who is on a mission to expose Zuberi’s dark past.

The teaser also features Anjan Dutt as Khawraj Khashnobish, Anirban Bhattacharya as Ator Ali, Anirban Chakrabarti as Tapos Sikdar and others.

Initially, Bangladeshi actors Chanchal Chowdhury, Fazlur Rahman Babu and Tariq Anam Khan were set to star in the series, however had to be replaced due to the pandemic-induced scheduling conflicts.

Produced by Hoichoi, the web series will be available to stream from August 13.

Back in May, Srijit Mukherji praised Badhon’s performance as Muskan Zuberi and slammed ‘countless cynics’ who initially questioned her casting.

On May 26, Srijit wrote on Facebook, “Can only say I doff my hat to your dedication, Azmeri Haque. Fighting off inhuman shooting conditions, countless cynics who questioned your selection and immensely demanding schedules, you have provided the winning edge to the mysterious femme fatale Mushkan Zuberi and made me very proud!”

In late 2020, Hoichoi announced the web series adaptation of Mohammad Nazim Uddin’s popular 2015 Bangladeshi thriller ‘Robindronath Ekhane Kawkhono Khete Aashenni’ by the acclaimed Indian-Bengali director Srijit Mukherji.
