Director John Krasinski’s “A Quiet Place Part II” finally hit the theatres on May 28, after many months of anticipation.

As of today, the film is garnering positive reviews from critics and drawing audiences in droves to the theatre, with industry insiders expressing optimism about reviving the box office.

The film’s premise centres on a family who has to survive in a post-apocalyptic world by remaining silent since the slightest noise can bring out the flesh-eating aliens.

William Friedkin, the director of arguably the most influential horror films of all time, “The Exorcist,” also emerged as a fan of John Krasinski and Emily Blunt’s horror sequel.

The Academy Award-winning director tweeted, “A Quiet Place Part 2 is a classic horror film. Cinema is back.”

The new sequel stars Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Cillian Murphy, Djimon Hounsou, and Noah Jupe in the lead roles.

Previously, "Salem's Lot" author Stephen King also praised the original film which came out in 2018 and followed a family navigating the ruins of an alien-invaded world.
