Elliot Page has graced the cover of Time magazine as the first transgender man under the headline 'I am fully who I am.'

On December 1, 2020, in a heartfelt Instagram post, Elliot Page, the star of Juno, Inception, Umbrella Academy among others, came out as transgender.

Elliot, who had previously come out as homosexual in 2014, said that he would use “he/they” pronouns.

The 34-year-old actor was nominated for an Oscar for playing a pregnant teenager in 2007 coming-of-age film Juno.

Since his announcement, Times magazine interview is the first major one that the actor has done.

"What I was anticipating was a lot of support and love and a massive amount of hatred and transphobia. That's essentially what happened," he said.

Elliot Page discussed how he always 'felt like a boy' and experienced 'feeling of triumph' when he cut his hair short at the age of 9.

In the interview, he condemned "crushing standards" and "pervasive stereotypes about masculinity and femininity" in the film industry.

"Extremely influential people are spreading these myths and damaging rhetoric -- every day you're seeing our existence debated. Transgender people are so very real."
