Michael B Jordan pays tribute to late friend Chadwick Boseman

Michael B Jordan took a moment to honour his late friend Chadwick Boseman after the latter made history at the Screen Actors Guild Award.

Boseman, who had passed away last year from a four-year battle with colon cancer at the age of 43, bagged four nominations for his performances in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and Da 5 Bloods. 

He is the first actor to have achieved this feat in a single year.

Jordan, who was Boseman’s Black Panther co-star, took to Instagram and paid tribute to the late actor for setting the bar higher for everyone in the industry. 

"Miss you big homie," wrote Jordan. 

Boseman earned nominations for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture for both Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and Da 5 Bloods. He broke all records when he bagged two more nominations for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for Ma Rainey and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for Da 5 Bloods.

In August, Jordan penned an emotional note after Boseman's death. "I've been reflecting on every moment, every conversation, every laugh, every disagreement, every hug…everything. I wish we had more time."
