Tariq Anam Khan won Best Actor for Abar Boshonto while Sunerah Binte Kamal won Best Actress for No Dorai
Surf drama No Dorai bagged some of the biggest prizes at the Bangladesh National Film Awards 2019, which was announced on December 3.
The film won Best Picture (jointly with Touquir Ahmed's Fagun Haway), Best Director (Taneem Rahman Angshu) Best Screenplay (Mahboob Rahman), Best Actress (Sunerah Binte Kamal), Best Cinematographer (Sumon Sarker), and Best Sound Designer (Ripon Nath).

Another major winner this year was Maya: The Lost Mother, directed by Masud Pothik. The Liberation War film won Best Supporting Actress (Nargis Aktar), Best Music Composition (Mostafizur Rahman Chowdhury Emon), Best Singer (Momtaz and Fatema Tuz Zohra Oishee), Best Story, Best Editor (Junaed Ahmad Halim), and Best Makeup (Md Raju).
