The actor had been put on life support on November 13
Veteran actor Azizul Hakim was released from hospital on November 25, after he tested negative for coronavirus, confirmed his wife, Zeenat Hakim. The actor had been put on life support on November 13 when his health deteriorated drastically for Covid-19.
Hakim was admitted to Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in the capital with respiratory distress in the Intensive Care Unit on November 12. He was transferred to a cabin after showing signs of recovery on November 17.

His son Mohaimin Ridwan and wife, who were Covid-19 positive at the time Hakim was admitted to the hospital, also tested negative for coronavirus.
The actor received his breakthrough in television starring in BTV's Ekhaney Nongor (1981). He debuted as a director on television with drama Ja Hariye Jay and on theatre with the play Pathor. Jol Porey Pata Norey (2005) has been his major and first drama serial on television, written by his wife Zeenat. His film debut was in Humayun Ahmed's Shonkhonil Karagar (1992).
