Singer Arnob teamed up with Shusmita Anis to bring a new spin to Kazi Nazrul Islam’s inspirational song Jaago Nari Jaago Bonhi Shikha. The music video, shot in Dhaka by Nahiyan Ahmed of Flybot Studios, also features a dance performance by actor Ridy Sheikh.
Arnob, who did the musical arrangement of the rendition, said: “This is the first time I got a chance to work on a Nazrul song. I hope listeners will like it.”

Shusmita Anis said: “Nazrul’s songs inspire us to fight against injustice. I tried to bring this famous song in contemporary context specially for the youth to understand the essence of women empowerment.”
The video will be released on November 19 on YouTube, along with all other digital platforms.
