The films will be fiction or documentary on world leaders who have fought for their nation
One of the attractions of Dhaka International Film Festival 2021 will be a new segment called Legendary Leaders Who Changed the World. Next year, to mark the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation of Bangladesh, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, 10 films on world leaders are expected to be screened during the festival.
Mujib Borsho will be closely followed by the golden jubilee celebrations of the country’s independence on March 26, 2021. This is an extraordinary opportunity for the nation to pay respect and gratitude to the father of the nation.
The films will be fiction or documentary on world leaders who have fought for their nation in search for democracy and freedom of the people. Each film will be screened twice. These screenings are free and open to all.
Legendary Leaders Who Changed the World is a competitive section in festival. Other sections in competition include Asian Cinema Section, Bangladesh Panorama Section, Cinema of the World Section, Children Films Section, Women Filmmakers Section, Short and Independent Films Section and Spiritual Films Section.
The 19th Dhaka International Film Festival will be held in Dhaka from January 16 to 24, 2021.
