'Humayunke Niye' published on Humayun Ahmed's birthday

On the 72nd birthday of celebrated writer Humayun Ahmed, young writer and journalist Hasan Shaon published his first ever book, Humayunke Niye

Published by Abhaya Limited on November 13, the cover and introduction were written by writer, cartoonist and Unmad editor, Ahsan Habib.

The author said: “Those of us who were born and raised during 80’s -90’s can be called 'Humayun's generation' in one word. In many ways, we have been influenced by this maestro. His creations Himu, Rupa, Misir Ali, Shuvro, Buck's brother, Majnu, relied heavily on us. So, I have always felt a responsibility to write about him.”

Hasan Shaon was born and raised in Mirpur, Dhaka. He started writing as a contributor at a national daily in 2005. In addition to journalism and writing, he has completed a diploma course in documentary making from the Bangladesh Film and Television Institute.
