An Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) official revealed that all four Bollywood divas Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh denied substance abuse during their recent day-long interrogation.
The NCB issued summons to the four on September 23, in a drug case related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. All of them were named by Rhea Chakraborty during her interrogation from September 6-8.
According to the official, the stars said that ‘they don’t even smoke cigarettes’, let alone consume hard drugs. They also denied having any knowledge about Sushant’s ‘drug problem.’
When Rakul was questioned about a word Doob from her WhatsApp chats, she explained, it refers to hand-rolled cigarettes.
The official added that the technical analysis of the stars’ mobile phones, all of which were voluntarily submitted, would decide if they were indeed speaking the truth.
Both Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor were interrogated at the NCB's zonal office at Ballard Estate while Padukone was questioned at a guest house in Colaba.

In the meantime, a former executive producer of Karan Johan’s Dharmatic Entertainment, Kshitij Ravi Prasad was arrested in this case on Saturday. He claimed that the NCB was trying to false implicate Karan Johar.
“I was categorically told by zonal director of NCB, Sameer Wankhede in the presence of several other officers that since I was associated with Dharma Productions, they would let me off if I take the names of Karan Johar, Somel Mishra, Rakhi, Apoorva, Neeraj or Rahil and say that they consumed drugs. I refused to comply with this, as I don’t know any of them personally. Irked by my refusal, Wankhede told me that since I was not cooperating, he would teach me a lesson. He made me sit on the floor next to his chair and then held up his shoe to my face and said that this was my worth,” he said to the press.
