From the team behind The Haunting of Hill House comes the next horror dramaThe Haunting of Bly Manor based on Henry James’ classic ghost novella
Mike Flanagan’s Netflix TV drama The Haunting of Hill House, based on Shirley Jackason’s timeless horror novel of the same name about a ‘not-sane’ house, created instant sensation after its release two years ago.
Stephen King called the viral show ‘nearly perfect.’ Now the Netflix team is back with its sequel titled The Haunting of Bly Manor, collaborating with director Flanagan and two former cast members Victoria Pedretti and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.
The new “Bly Manor” is based on Henry James’ classic ghost novella The Turn of the Screw. A governess in charge of taking care of two orphans slowly begins to lose her sanity and starts dreaming of ‘the dead.’
Resembling the precogs from Tom Cruise’s Minority Report and ‘I see the dead’ kid from The Sixth Sense, the Bly Manor’s dreamer here has to care for the two orphans while fighting strange apparitions.
The Netflix show arrives on October 9, starring Victoria Pedretti, Henry Thomas, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Kate Siegel, T'Nia Miller, Rahul Kohli, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, Amelie Smith and Amelia Eve.
Flanagan is the acclaimed horror director of Oculus, Hush, Doctor Sleep, Gerald's Game among others.
