Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau

Kangana Ranaut took this opportunity to slam Deepika Padukone, calling depression 'a consequence of drug abuse’

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) issued summons to actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh on Wednesday, September 23, in a drug case related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

The four actors were named by Rhea Chakraborty during her interrogation from September 6-8. A court in Mumbai decided that Rhea would remain in jail till October 6.

The Mumbai court has dismissed Rhea’s claims of lying about mentioning certain people’s names and making self-incriminatory statements under duress.

Actor Kangana Ranaut, who has been hinting for a long time at a possible ‘drug mafia’ in Bollywood, took this opportunity to revel in an I-told-you-so moment.

Kangana wrote, “Finally for the first time Bullywood mafia wishing that Sushant wasn’t killed and Kangana wasn’t pushed against the wall, for the first time they are regretting their cruelty, sadism and silence. For the first time they are wishing they could turn back time and bring us back.”

Kangana had in the past made fun of Padukone’s mental health activism, tweeting “Repeat after me, depression is a consequence of drug abuse. So called high society rich star children who claim to be classy and have a good upbringing ask their manager, ‘MAAL HAI KYA?' (Do you have drugs?)”

Padukone has been asked to appear on September 25 by the NCB, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan on September 26.
