Hero Alom addresses feud with Ananta Jalil: 'He can’t buy me'

Ananta Jalil, the business magnate turned film star, announced a while back that he would be casting social media sensation Hero Alom in a new film. In recent days, we have fawned over Hero Alom’s new look intended for Ananta’s upcoming project, going as far as to compare Alom with South Indian actors.

On Thursday however, Jalil shocked everyone by announcing that he was parting ways with Hero Alom for the latter’s alleged insolence and a few more unmentioned reasons.

Alom has vehemently denied the accusations against him and said via Facebook Live that he was being punished for speaking against actor Zayed Khan, who was recently declared unwanted by 18 bodies of film industry.

Ananta Jalil gave Hero Alom 50,000tk for signing the contract, which Ananta has ever sinced refused to take back.

On Facebook, Alom said: “Ananta Jalil bhai called me and rebuked me for going against the likes of Zayed Khan. He asked me how come I had the nerve to criticize him when Bhai has specifically in the past asked me to remain in good terms with Zayed Khan. I said I only did what I had considered the right thing to do.”

“Is speaking the truth a crime now? In that case, I have no regrets,” he added.

In recent times, Hero Alom has fallen out with Bangladesh Cholochitra Shilpi Samiti (Bangladesh Film Actors’ Association) general secretary Zayed Khan; Ananta Jalil later mediated between the two parties.

A proud Alom said to his fans; “I am a self-made man. I never asked him to cast me. And I am never going to bow down before him either. Everyone has used me for their own interests; it turns out, Ananta Jalil bhai was no different.”

On the other hand, Ananta Jalil wrote on Facebook: “I am not going to make any films with Hero Alom. Everyone expressed their reservations about him in the past to me. In recent days, some of his obscene videos have taken over the social media platforms. All in all, I am simply embarrassed to be ever involved with him in any form.”

Hero Alam called out Ananta on this point, saying: “A few days ago, Anana Jalil bhai told me at FDC that he did not care about what anyone else had to say about me. And look at him now, making excuses for getting rid of me!"

Regarding the signing money, he added, “He (Ananta) might be a big philanthropist, but I am not accepting charities here. I will be returning his money. He should not be so arrogant as to think that he can buy everyone. He can’t buy me.”

“Who knows if Ananta Jalil bhai pulled this stunt only to go viral?” Alom wondered.
