Music for Peace- FB Live is broadcast every night from from 9pm to 11pm on Gaan Bangla's official Facebook page. Musicians from all over the world make appearances in the program to inspire viewers at home, through their performances.
Popular actor Bidya Sinha Mim, Symon Sadik, musician Alif Alauddin, Mila, Pritam, Rafa and others took part on Sunday’s live broadcast.
The Managing Director of the channel and music composer Kaushik Hossain Taposh hosted the program.
Mim informed the audience that she had previously refrained from a film shooting and made sure to maintain social distancing.
She said: “I am encouraging everyone to collectively help stem the spread of coronavirus. The only ‘medicine’ available to us right now is staying home. Let’s make sure our family and community are safe.”
Symon expressed his fears saying: “I am quote apprehensive about the health of my family and fellow citizens. I am urging every one to stay home. I pray that we overcome this pandemic as soon as possible.”
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Gaan Bangla, in cooperation with the the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), revived its international platform Music for Peace.
