National Theatre Festival: 2 Liberation War themed plays staged in Magura

Before the plays began, speeches were made by Nazma Akhter, Khulna Division's executive committee member of Bangladesh Group Theatre Foundation, Magura Pouro Panel Mayor Makbul Hasan Makul, and Magura Theatre Unit's President Shafikul Islam Shafik, as special guests

As part of the nationwide National Theatre Festival, two Liberation War themed plays were staged in Magura's Shaheed Atar Ali Library on Saturday.

"Unishsho Ekattur" - adapted from Imdadul Milon's novel - and  Salauddin Milton's "Ekjon Muktijoddha" were staged by Magura Zilla Sadar Theatre Unit and Mohammadpur Kolomer Shainik Nattyogoshtthi at Magura's festival.

Before the plays began, speeches were made by Nazma Akhter, Khulna Division's executive committee member of Bangladesh Group Theatre Foundation, Magura Pouro Panel Mayor Makbul Hasan Makul, and Magura Theatre Unit's President Shafikul Islam Shafik, as special guests.

"Unishsho Ekattur" was directed by Nazma. The actors were Naima, Zeeshan, Kamini, Siam, Musa, Arafat, Shahjahan, Hasan, Yasin, and Nayan.

"Ekjon Muktijoddha" was directed by Dilip Adhikary and the actors were Murad, Alok, Dilip, Anis, Iqbal, Sohel, and Rubel.

Under the supervision of the Cultural Affairs Ministry, the Bangladesh Group Theatre Foundation - in collaboration with Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy - has been organizing such theatre festivals all across the country to celebrate the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
