The “Call For Entry” for the 12th edition of the International Inter University Short Film Festival (IIUSFF) has started from January 24, 2020, and will end on April 24. This festival is organized by Dhaka University Film Society (DUFS), in association with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

IIUSFF began its journey in 2007. Since then, it has evolved into a platform which celebrates diverse but unified voices from all over the world, giving young film-makers the opportunity to fulfill their dreams. This festival has, with great success, tried to break the boundaries of the conventional world of cinema and recognize the distinctive creativity of film-makers from all over the world.

DUFS International Affairs Secretary Shiyan Shahriar said, "Our goal is to steer our films towards a better direction. This festival serves as a prime example of our goal. We have aspired to provide an ideal platform for the upcoming film-makers of Bangladesh and overseas to showcase their skills.

"Every year, we have had participants from different corners of the world, which speaks of the steady and tremendous success of IIUSFF.  Over the course of 11 successful editions, it has become the biggest platform for young film-makers in Bangladesh," he added.

Selected films will be screened at various university campuses, reputed cultural institutions of the capital, and cultural centers in different cities across Bangladesh. Last year, Dhaka University Film Society also organized a special film screening session at Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
