Moviyana Film Society to observe Alamgir Kabir's 31st death anniversary

Alamgir Kabir died on January 20, 1989, in a tragic accident at the age of 50. He was widely known for his cultural activism in Bangladesh and one of the most influential personalities of Bangladeshi films after the country’s independence in 1971. He also helped promote the study of film-making in Bangladesh

To mark the 31st death anniversary of legendary film-maker and cultural activist Alamgir Kabir, Moviyana Film Society is organizing the  Alamgir Kabir Shoron O Alamgir Kabir Smriti Boktita on Monday at the National Theatre seminar room of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at 5.30pm.

Prominent journalist and writer, Rofikuzzaman, film critic Anupam Hayat, and fim-maker and Moviyana Film Society President Belayat Hossain Mamun will speak at the event about the remarkable life, work, and philosophy of Alamgir Kabir.
