Purnata’s solo photo exhibition begins

Nujhat Purnata, daughter of Naem Nizam and Farida Yeasmin, graduated in mass communication and journalism from University of Massachusetts. Purnata visited many countries during her academic life

A two-day solo photography exhibition, titled In between borders and other political constructs, showcasing the works of photographer Nujhat Purnata kicked off on Friday at Gallery 6 in the Fine Arts Building, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. 

Awami League Advisory Council member Tofail Ahmed inaugurated the event as chief guest. Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) President Dr Rubana Huq and Kaler Kantho Editor Imdadul Haque Milan were present as special guests, reports BSS.

General Secretary of Jatiya Press Club Farida Yeasmin, Editor of Bangladesh Pratidin and General Secretary of Editors’ Council Naem Nizam, and many other eminent journalists were also present at the ceremony, which began at 3pm.

Nujhat Purnata, daughter of Naem Nizam and Farida Yeasmin, graduated in mass communication and journalism from University of Massachusetts. Purnata visited many countries during her academic life.

The exhibition, starting from 11am to 8pm, will end on Saturday.
