Trainwreck began the new year with another huge achievement as the band won the 2019 Global Metal Apocalypse (GMA) award for Breakthrough Asian Metal Band
A new feather has been added to the cap of Bangladeshi heavy metal band Trainwreck as the band has won at 2019 GMA awards.
After their successful performance at Wacken Open Air festival in Germany last year, Trainwreck ended the year with a couple of international tours, to Kolkata and Nepal.
However, Trainwreck began the new year with another huge achievement as the band won the 2019 Global Metal Apocalypse (GMA) award for Breakthrough Asian Metal Band.
Global Metal Apocalypse (GMA) is a website which aims to bring together the world’s metal musicians on one platform.
Founded in 2011, GMA monitors online news on various bands from different parts of the world and nominates the most promising from each continent for its awards. Later, voting on their website determines the winners.
Trainwreck fans had a month to vote for them.
The current line-up of Trainwreck consists of Abir Ahmed Shuvo on vocals, A K Rahul and Ekram Wasi on guitars, Habibullah Farhan on bass, and Minhaj Ahmed Mridul on drums.
The band is all set to perform in the Philippines later this year.
