U2 is set to kick off their first ever show in India this December as The Joshua Tree Tour steps in Mumbai

Popular Irish band U2 are currently rocking   different venues in Australia as part of their The Joshua Tree world tour.

Besides being busy with world tour, the band teamed up with Oscar-winning Indian composer A R Rahman on a new   single, Ahimsa, reports Billboard.

The word Sanskrit word stands  non-violence. The song is inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy  of non-violence. The song is available on Spotify and other digital platforms.

“It has been an absolute joy to work with AR on this track,” said U2 guitarist The Edge ahead of the release.

“A superstar and a talent both towering and generous, we are especially excited to visit his homeland in just a few weeks."

“To practice Ahimsa, it requires courage and strength. It is a quality that is resistant to weapons or power,” said Rahman.

“It’s a mission which is most needed to heal the modern world and I believe it is the perfect time to collaborate with U2, with their amazing legacy, to revive this movement.”
