Artcell, one of the most popular bands in Bangladesh, has recently announced a special concert to celebrate 20 years of the rock group's existence.

The concert, titled 20 years of Artcellism, is being organized by Asiatic Experiential Marketing Limited, and it is scheduled for December 24.

An agreement has already been signed between Artcell and Asiatic on November 16 to finalize the concert. Both parties are well into the preparations for the concert, and tickets will very soon be sold online.

The current band manager of Artcell, Khademul Wahab Maher told the Dhaka Tribune Showtime: "The full line-up of Artcell will perform on the night, including bassist Cézanne bhai (Saef Al Nazi Cézanne), who is currently in Australia. We are in talks with International Convention City, Bashundhara, as a venue for the concert, but the hall cannot be confirmed yet.

"Four different bands will perform with Artcell in that concert, and they will each cover one Artcell song. Some other famous names in Bangladesh's rock scene will also perform with Artcell on that night. We will reveal the names, and process of buying tickets very soon," Maher added.

Maher also revealed that he grew up listening to Artcell, and most of what he knows about band management is learned from the band's guitarist and vocalist George Lincoln D'Costa. Maher started managing Artcell from 2017.

Maher also said: "I cannot adequately express in words the emotions I am feeling about this happy occasion- seeing Artcell celebrate 20 years of performing together as a band. I love this band the most in the world."

Artcell was founded by George Lincoln D'Costa, Kazi Shazzadul Asheqeen Shaju, Saef Al Nazi Cézanne, and  on October 23, 1999. Within a few years of forming, Artcell became one of the biggest names in Bangladesh's rock scene. They have released only two studio albums thus far- Onno Shomoy and Oniket Prantor.

The current line-up of Artcell has Lincoln on vocals and guitar, Shaju on drums, Cézanne on bass, and Kazi Faisal Ahmed as lead guitarist.
